Mentors - Jed Schwartz
Jed Schwartz is a health professional from Woodstock, New York. He also has a practice on the Upper West Side, Manhattan, New York. I met Jed when I began to study Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) in 2015. Jed is a member of the faculty of the Mary Burmeister Jin Shin Jyutsu Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. As such, he teaches basic 5-day courses and special topics courses, such as a 3-day course on the spine. These classes are taught in many countries of the world, including cities throughout the United States.
Soon after I contracted a case of shingles, in February, 2015, I took a 5-day class with Jed in March. Because of the lingering effects of shingles, I decided to become a client of Jed’s, so that I could receive regular treatments from him, get suggestions about self-help activities in which I could engage, and learn from Jed (as a mentor), by being-in-with him for the years ahead.
In the four years in which I have received treatments from Jed, I learned a great deal about JSJ, iridology, and naturopathy. In a typical one-hour treatment, Jed reviews my uses of herbs and supplements he has recommended for me, examines my irises and sclera to ascertain my progress on numerous wellness projects I am addressing (e.g., harmonizing lymph system, eliminating candida), and administers JSJ treatments based on his readings of my body.
Jed emphasizes the importance of self-help as a component of maintaining good health.
